White Fused Alumina is made of high-quality industrial alumina powder, which is smelted in an arc at a high temperature of over 2200 degrees and then cooled. The hardness of White Fused Alumina is slightly higher than that of brown corundum, with slightly lower toughness, high purity, good self-sharpening, strong grinding ability, low calorific value, high efficiency, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and good thermal stability.
As a refractory raw material, White Fused Alumina is the main raw material for the production of high-grade unshaped and shaped refractory materials, which are widely used in steel, cement, ceramics, petroleum and other industries. It is an ideal material for unshaped refractories such as raw materials and prefabricated parts, as well as various corundum products such as corundum bricks, corundum and mullite corundum saggers, corundum porous bricks for refining, integral spray guns and composite nozzles, and high-temperature industrial furnace lining materials. main raw material.
As abrasives, it can be used for consolidated and coated abrasives, floor wear-resistant sand, professional ceramic roller sand, wet or dry blasting sand, suitable for ultra-fine grinding and polishing in the crystal and electronic industries. It is suitable for processing hardened steel, alloy steel, high-speed steel, high-carbon steel and other materials with high hardness and high tensile strength. It can also be used as catalyst, insulator and precision casting sand.
The product granularity can be processed according to the granularity required by the user. The general particle size number is F6~F220, and its chemical composition varies depending on the particle size. The outstanding feature is that the crystal size is small and impact-resistant. If it is processed and broken by a self-grinding machine, the particles are mostly spherical particles, the surface is dry and clean, and it is easy to bond with a binder.
White Fused Alumina density: density is divided into two types, one is the bulk density of White Fused Alumina, and the other is the true density of White Fused Alumina.
The bulk density of the abrasive is 1.53~1.99g/cm3. The bulk density of the abrasive is related to the particle size, particle size composition, variety, particle shape and other factors of the abrasive. Generally speaking, the coarse-grained abrasive has a larger bulk density than the fine-grained abrasive. The bulk density is greater than the single particle size density.
The true density of the particles is 3.90~4.0g/cm3, and the true density of the abrasive refers to the mass of the abrasive contained in the unit volume (excluding the volume of open pores). The basic particle size of White Fused Alumina is 45%~55%. The basic particle size is an important indicator to ensure the grinding effect. It should be properly controlled during production, but the production speed may be slowed down.
Note: F is the specification for bonded abrasives and sandblasting, and W is micropowder. Fine powder is produced by alumina ball, alumina lined ball mill, and segment sand is produced by Barmac.
